The goal of this project was to redesign a magazine and develop a new concept and new way of expression through experimental typography and layout. The redesign could be produced as a new magazine or a book.

The magazine chosen was the October 2013 issue of the marketing magazine, Bloomberg. The issue is about market dynamics and statistical data. I found that the infographics in this magazine were pretty interesting, so I chose them to be the inspiration for my book design. To totally change the layout and format of the magazine, I used various type treatments combined with infographic elements to show the sense of high tech and digitization. I played with sideways type and experimented with leading and kerning. This 7 by 10 inch book was designed using concertina format.
