Centaur is a serif typeface by book and typeface designer Bruce Rogers, based on the Renaissance-period printing of Nicolas Jenson around 1470. The inspiration for this work comes from the game of chess. The word ‘centaur’ reminds me of an elegant and noble knight in chess. Centaur is an elegant and quite slender face, which can be appropriately represented in black and white, fitting with chess. Therefore, I combined the idea of chess with Centaur and made this brochure. In order to highlight a classical and serious style, I chose black and white as the main colors of this book.
